Worse than nothing was one of the first pieces I wrote for myself to perform after meeting Matthew Lee Knowles and Neil Luck, whose own practices demonstrated to me how composition and performance could be inseparable. In 2026 a recording of a solo version of this piece was released on the Vanity Project album.
